Even though it’s been ages since I touched this idea, I wanted to go on. This time the inspiration was Boy by Band of Outsiders. I absolutely love this line, but given my budget, it’s inspiration at best. This was the outfit I was inspired by:
And here’s my take. It’s not quite as literal as my last one, but then, I don’t own a wool skirt or such high platforms. Plus, I think mine is a touch more wearable:
What a hideous face I’m making! heh. So that’s a vintage top (modified it a bit to fit–thanks, sewing machine!), American Apparel skirt, Target tights, and Loeffler Randall flats (purchased used). I added a few accessories before I went out, too.

I like your version, the color pallet is perfect, and it is SO much more wearable! Plus, I’m not too fond of those platforms, they seem to make her feet look a bit deformed.

Ooh, this shirt is the tops. Also, if you are in the market of a wool skirt, I saw loads at the Sal’s over in Bed Stuy (Classon and Quincy).

I have to agree with Lyddiegal about the platforms. Your version is cute and wearable. While, I love them to death- pencil-ish cut skirts are hard to run around town in.
